Logging Honor Code Violations Procedures for Pearson Teachers
Pearson Teachers will document each honor code violation in the Student Activity Tracker. Each entry should identify the violation number, action taken, and next steps. The example below reflects the template teachers should use when logging honor code violations.
Contact Type: Honor Code Violation
Subject: AI Honor Code Violation #_
Description:
AI Indicators Identified: Include specific examples from the assignment and applicable indicators from the checklist.
Action Taken: A temporary zero was entered pending a conversation with the student.
Next Steps: Contact the student by phone and webmail for a positive, productive conversation about AI usage. Provide a redo or relearning opportunity, when applicable.
Note:
Violation #1: A subsequent honor code violation will result in partial credit eligibility only.
Violation #2: A subsequent honor code violation will result in a permanent zero.
