The challenge for the summer is to find as many math connections as possible in your home, community, and travels. Numbers, shapes, patterns, logic, and problem-solving are used in places that might surprise you. Who will find the most math connections in your family?
Family members can keep track of the math connections they find in whatever way they like: a notebook, index cards, in a computer file, or on a form the family devises.
Share and compare lists at agreed-upon family times; keep progress on a chart the family creates together.
