Pearson Connexus allows you to easily send feedback Messages at any time--before, during, or after grading--with the Grade Editor and Needs grading screens.
Send feedback Messages
To send a message:
- Write the message in the Messages editor.
- You can use the Insert template tool that appears on the message editor toolbar. For more information related to math assignments, review this video on How to Add Math Expressions into Grading Feedback.
- Attach any files you want to send using the buttons below the Messages editor.
- Click any of of the submission action buttons (Submit, Allow retry, Override complete, and Mark as missing) to send the composed message with the submission action.
- Clicking the submission action buttons sends the message, completes the submission action, and navigates you to the next student/activity to grade or back the Gradebook.
- If you want to send a message by itself, click the dropdown button attached to the Submit button and click Send message now.
- When sent, messages appear above the message editor with a timestamp. Hover over a sent message to edit or delete it.
- Use the Read/unread status tool to see if students have seen your message (refresh your screen if you don't see it).
- You can adjust the width of the Grade editor panels by dragging the separator between them right or left.
Students receive an Activity stream notification and can easily find these message on the Grade details screen.
