The article explains how to reassign or reset assessments in IXL and Pearson Connexus. To reassign in IXL, select the quiz, hover over the student's name, and click the redo arrow. To reset in Pearson Connexus, open the Gradebook, select the assessment, and choose "Allow Retry." Score overrides can be applied in Pearson Connexus but won't appear in IXL.
Allowing a retake in IXL is a two-step process:
- Reassign the assessment in the IXL platform.
- Reset the assessment in the student’s Pearson Connexus Gradebook.
Reassign the Assessment in the IXL Platform
- Access Takeoff through Pearson Connexus.
- Select the quiz or test within the lesson in Takeoff by IXL.
- Hover over the student’s name.
- Select the redo arrow when it appears.
Reset the Assessment Pearson Connexus
- Open the Gradebook.
- Select the assessment you want to reset.
- Select Allow Retry.
Score overrides: You can add extra-credit points or override a manually graded assessment item in Pearson Connexus. Note: These changes will not be reflected in Takeoff by IXL.
