A Pearson installation may contain multiple domains.
When working with multiple domains, it may be necessary to specify the domain when using a .CSV to bulk enroll users. The screen capture below shows the Domain drop-down menu located in the Main Menu. Use this menu to ensure you are working in the proper domain.
The screen capture below displays the bulk Import Users screen. From this screen (available from the Users Tool), .CSV files can be used to upload new data or edit existing data for users. Domains can be specified in the .CSV if working in multiple domains.
Courses may be in a different domain from the one the administrator is working in when using a Batch Import.
When no domain is specified on the .CSV, the import assumes the current working domain.
When referencing users or courses in the current working domain, you do not need to specify the domain.
You also do not need to specify a domain when the ID of the item is globally unique, as is the case with internal IDs.
When referencing users or courses in a different domain from the working domain, specify the new domain. All domain identifiers in this case have a User, Course, or Enrollment prefix. You could, for example, create an enrollment in one domain, with a user from a second domain, and a course from a third domain.
