Create Ordering Questions

You can list the options (text and/or media) that need to be put in order vertically under the question. Students can drag and drop the options into the desired place. To use this option, check the Drag and dropbox in the Interaction card.

You can list the options (text and/or media) that need to be put in order horizontally under the question. Students can drag and drop the options into the desired place. To use this option, check the Drag and drop and Horizontal orientation boxes in the Interaction card.

You can list the options (text and/or media) that need to be put in order vertically under the question. Students can click the up and down arrows next to the options to move them into into the desired place. This is the default option for the question.

1. Specify how many Points the question is worth.
2. Enter the question as you want it displayed to students.
3. Enter the answer options in the fields below. Check the box next to the answer option(s) that are correct.
4. Use the answer option side menus to:
   • Remove the option.
   • Lock the options position in the list.
5. Enter the Correct order in the field below.
6. Click Add order entry to create new answer options.

7. This section pictures and explains the default visual editor; enable the Text editor to create and edit questions with the advanced Text editor.

Click Add feedback to create various types of feedback.

To manage the question's Interaction:

1. Indicate how you want the answer options labeled.
2. Check the Maintain response order box to randomize only the order of the answer options.
3. Check Drag and drop box to allow students to arrange them using drag and drop functions (instead of arrows).
   • If you choose drag-and-drop questions, you can check the Horizontal orientation to list the options horizontally. They are listed vertically by default.
4. Check Display workspace to give students a rich text editor where they can record their notes and processes as they work on the question.
   • Students can also record and upload video or audio responses as part of their notes.
5. If one or more passages have been included in the activity, you can select one to attach to this question from the Include passage drop-down.
6. Provide a Custom question definition (contact support for additional assistance).

The Metadata card lets you attach information to questions:

1. Assign a difficulty level to each question can help track your overall assessment difficulty.
2. Add a question to an existing group.
   • When putting questions in an assessment activity, groups are used to assign questions to assessment question pools.
   • When putting questions in a practice questions activity, Groups are used to assign questions specific attempt limits.
3. The question ID is a unique identifier for this question.

From the Objective mastery card, you can align the question with objective(s).

This makes it possible to set up Formative and Remediation assessments.

Use the Score card to indicate:

1. If you want to allow for Partial credit for the question.
   • And, if so, if you want to automatically Round the score.
2. If you want the question to count as Extra credit.

Click Add material in Companion Material to attach any supplemental documents students need to complete this question. You can do this by:

1. Pointing to existing resources in the course.
2. Uploading new files (PDFs only).

Students can access Companion material by clicking the Files icon in the toolbar.
