Welcome to our school!
We are excited that your student will be learning with us this school year. It’s natural to have some questions and concerns when you enroll with a new school. To help you start the school year strong, we provide plenty of support for newly enrolled families. We do this because our research proves that students perform better in school when parents learn as much as they can about virtual school in advance. Here are some simple things that you can do now to prepare your family for a successful school year.
1. Get Acquainted with Pearson Connexus Support Help
Our Support/Help page has helpful learning tools, including links to recorded orientations, interactive tutorials, how-to guides, and digital learning tips. Find the link on your Home Page.
2. Complete the Caretaker Orientation course
We recommend that Caretakers learn about virtual school and take advantage of the opportunities they have to get involved and help ensure student success.
3. Organize your learning space
Create a well-organized, comfortable learning place in an area where your student will learn best.
4. Check system requirements
Make sure your computer equipment and software are updated so you and your student can fully benefit from our program.
5. Develop a plan
Take time with your student to consider scheduling options and discuss expectations.
